The Ministry of Tourism and International Transport is responsible for fostering the sustainable development of the tourism and international transport sectors to provide economic growth and improved quality of life for all Barbadians.

This is achieved through policy formulation and implementation, research, regulation and control of all aspects of civil aviation and provision of leadership and support for disaster management in the tourism sector.

The Ministry also administers the Tourism Development Act, Cap. 341, the Travel Services Act, Cap. 373A and the Civil Aviation Act, Cap. 288A.
